either the money flows into the coins which could gain value today or traders prefer real cash on their bank accounts

I'm getting the idea that it's some kind of cascading effect of people that jumped into the hype at the end of 2013. They jumped in with the idea of all coins gaining x.x% in value each day.
After the dip crypto's made the first week of januari people seem to be dumping a lot of their coin because they are afraid to sustain a loss.
Could this dip maybe be a good thing for people that are in for the long run ?

Yes from this point of view this could be a good thing. Usually the masses jump on a trend when the trend is almost over, then when prices are falling they see losses and more losses and they start selling to rescue what they can. When everyone sold the strong hands hold the coins and the trend up can start again. There's still a lot of work for the community and the team and it will ned more block halfing and higher difficulty for NET to gain higher values like 1$ +x
