Yes we need to make not only the best coin but the easiest coin for the average joe to figure out. Less crypto jargon and more layman's term. If they can understand it will make them more apt to buy in.
My feelings are that laymen terms should be stated first and then slowly build up to the techno-speak/jargon.
An introduction that starts sorta like this...
" is money created by software that can be used to purchase goods and services over the internet without the need of credit cards or brick-and-mortar bank accounts. Netcoins can also be traded for hard-currency and other software created money via online money exchanges."
versus something like this...
" (NET) is a peer-to-peer (P2P) cryptographic digital currency (cryptocurrency). A set of open source interdependent software components, distributed under the MIT/X11 software license, is used to generate ..."
... can then segue into what the software is, how the money is created, how it's distributed, etc...
Looking at what other cryptocurrencies have written to define their product, it is really hard for the average person to understand what is really going on.
