after reading a lot of interesting posts here on the forum I realized that the community is very different to the usual alt.coin-communities. I appreciate the positive attitude and friendly, helpful communication very much. Even in the hottest discussions I didn't find a single rude or insulting sentence.
Second, I see a huge potential in because (!) it is ASIC/FPGA-immune (I hope I understood the technical stuff correctly. It is immune to ASICs, isn't it??)
So what's the solution: building pools of individuals mining together, it's a technical and social act of collaboration. I know that there are also BTC and LTC pools but be honest: the guy with the biggest cock ASIC-rig will always win the race being miles ahead of the competition. I'm currently mining in a pool with a stinky HD7750 ATI card and it's great fun. Of course there're people driving 4x7970 rigs or better but the difference is by far not as extreme and unfair as e.g. my rig vs. a million dollar ASIC monster. "Social justice" in terms of digital coins isn't the right term maybe, but it's the closest thing compared to all other cryptocurrencies.
Third, the logo and the name are extremely well chosen. Worldwide acceptance outside the living rooms of some nerds requires a serious brand name and hallmark. Bitcoin did it right, so does . It's even a lot more catchy and serious than Litecoin ("Lite" always means missing of something, think Coke Lite). Just close your eyes and imagine the amazon website with a book showing "H.P. Lovecraft - The Cthulhu Mythos, USD 27.90, NET 11.49, BTC 65.90" - or would you rather prefer "USD 27.90, Dogecoin ha aren't we funny 99.00" ?
Note: pls. excuse my crappy english, my first language is german.

yeah I know the Cthulhu coins, they have definitely the most creative and best designed graphical e-wallet theme ever created in history, just google some screenshots, simply amazing. But: I'm a serious investor and I'm counting on Netcoins.
I am a HUGE Lovecraft fan! Long time ago my wife asked me about my wishes if I would succeed in hitting the Lotto jackpot. My answer: a trip to Providence, first visit: the gravesite of HPL.
I literally read every word he ever wrote. Two weeks ago I got a very special package: the master's very first essays from his early school days (limited edition as a printed book, not the original documents of course which reside in the HPL museum in Providence/Rhodes Island). Ok, this is for the real nerds ;-)
Many years ago I analyzed the Necronomicon thoroughly and discovered close similarities to real existing Sumerian myths and legends from 3000 BC, even most of the spells and incantations really existed.
Ok, that's enough for now. These few examples should prove enough that I'm very close to insanity concerning HPL
