Hello fellow NETheads (I really like that catchphrase), I've been hitting google news with a bitcoin search daily to see whats going on in the mainstream. There's loads of articles posted, and alot of hype and misinformation, and other crap. What I've been doing is adding my comments to these stories, in general-- I've been showing the authors and readers where they are misinformed, incorrect, or simply posting propaganda. I really think the tech-dumb media outlets need a kick in the pants... but while I've been at it -- I've also been marketing this forum as a valuable resource in getting people who may otherwise be dissuaded by the poorly written and inaccurate news as a place to come and learn about crypto... I think it's a good approach to get noticed a bit more, and it's free publicity. If everyone just posted once a day, hell even once a week, we could really get the name out there despite the fact that it is associated with bitcoin at first. Throw the search term "bitcoin" into news.google.com and find a story that upsets you and fire away. My two satoshis for the day . Cheers! Tristoned

Oh, as an example, here's an article on the paypal prez claiming his company supports and respects bitcoin. Vote my post up -- www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2014/01/paypal_bitcoin/ . I drop the net name without seeming too pushy etc... : "I recently had a bitcoin transaction via paypal go wrong using localbitcoins.com. Localbitcoin warns that paypal is a high risk form of payment, and that is simply because of paypal's policies. What happened? I sent some fractions bitcoins to a buyer, who promptly paid via paypal. Against they buyer's will, paypal reversed the transaction-- claiming the buyer never contacted them to dispute the reversal-- which his screenshots, emails forwarded to me, and recorded phone conversations dictate otherwise. The buyer sent me my bitcoins back-- as he was a good honest egg... but Paypal blatantly lying to me when I asked about the reversal is completely unacceptable. Paypal is most certainly ANTI-BITCOIN, despite what this guy is saying. I won't be using their services ever again. I hold hope, however , that I will one day smile ear-to-ear when bitcoin drives paypal out of business. Also, the public misinformation campaigns being pushed by the media against bitcoin are bogus. If you're not in this game, it isn't too late, and it doesn't take much investment. If you ever want help getting started stop by the foundation website (netcoinfoundation.org or the forum at forum.netcoinfoundation.org) where a bustling community of crypto savvy individuals would be happy to help answer you questions and get you started-- free of charge and with a smile."

It's cool Justin, I'm happy to get the participation. Sure, post it here and keep going. The small reward is just to get a few people to spend the time-- but the long-term effects of name recognition and getting more people interested in crypto is the goal that benefits us all in the form of increased value of NET, and growing popularity of digital currency in general. Re-use my post if you like it-- doesn't matter. The point is to get people to a proper information source .

We need a campaign that has the potential to go Viral. People will not notice until you say "HEY WE ARE HERE!!!"
This is a good example of a promotional video. Simple animation but easily get your message through
Or i just like the animation lol but it is a good example of simplfying the terminologies used so that it can be receptive to the general public
Can we do something like this animation ?
