Super, thanks developers! One hitch so far, I installed the new wallet and now get this error when I launch the wallet... "A fatal error occurred. Netcoin can no longer continue safely and will quit. EXCEPTION: St13runtime_error CDB() : can't open database file , error 21 netcoin in Runaway exception " I'm using the latest OSX (10.9.4) I suspect it may just be that I need to delete the old blocks from the previous wallet which I haven't done - but I can't seem to find a netcoin repository in application support or library or anywhere I'd expect it to be, so any pointers as to where the previous wallet stores it's downloaded blocks on a mac? Or does someone with more technical knowhow understand that error? > EDIT: I've just tried launching it again and it seems to be fine, I made no changes at all from before. The wallet is loaded with all my info (address book/ ) and is apparently downloading blocks, though it seems to be stuck at the time the old wallet last synced. I suspect I may still need to delete the old blocks and download the whole blockchain afresh, so - could still use some direction as to where this is stored on a mac. > 2nd EDIT: see post below >

Okay I got it sorted, so here’s how I did it for anyone else trying to upgrade their mac wallet to the proof of stake one:-
I replaced the old netcoin-qt application with the new one from the netcoinfoundation website.
In the finder, choose the “Go” menu from the toolbar and select “Go to Folder..”
paste or type in:-
~/Library/Application Support/NetCoin
this takes you to the storage location (which is hidden in anything above OSX 10.7)
I moved everything in there apart from wallet.dat and peers.dat to the trash and relaunched the wallet.
The wallet recreated the files/folder I removed and began downloading the block chain from scratch. Now don’t panic - initially it will look as though you have no coins in your wallet, this is because the block history with transactions into your wallet has not been downloaded yet (it is “out of sync”), as the chain downloads you should see your wallet contents go back to where they should be once it’s up to date.
Now all that remains is to stake some coins and watch them multiply.

Do i have to re import the wallet or something?

if your backed up wallet.dat is in the right place you'll have to wait for the block chain to finish syncing - i.e. the wallet needs to be up to date before it will show all your coins.

Sorry, I don't really have time to read all 6 pages of this thread,
to see if there are any changes of advice from the OP message.
Is the OP message still valid? Is that the way to get the new wallet working? Or are there some changes mentioned somewhere in those 6 pages of this thread?Thank you
